The 12 Earthly Branches (十二地支) divide each day into two-hour windows called Shichen (时辰). Each window carries distinct energetic qualities. Your Four Pillars (八字) birth chart is then analyzed for 五行 (Five Elements) compatibility with the target stock.

2. A Worked Example: How an Analysis Flows

Consider a hypothetical analysis for a technology company during the Spring Equinox period:

Layer 1 — Celestial Timing (天时): The current solar term is Chun Fen (春分), marking the Vernal Equinox. This corresponds to the Wood element reaching its peak expression. The prevailing Nine Palace Flying Star configuration indicates Period 9 (Fire), suggesting strong momentum for innovation-driven sectors.

Layer 2 — Earthly Positioning (地利): The company operates in the semiconductor industry, which maps to the Fire element in Five Elements theory. Fire is nourished by Wood (the current seasonal energy), creating a productive elemental relationship known as "Wood feeds Fire" (木生火).

6. AI Synthesis

The final step is AI-powered narrative generation. A large language model receives:

• Your complete metaphysical profile (Four Pillars, dominant elements, hexagram reading).
• The stock's financial data and elemental classification.
• The computed compatibility score and contributing factors.

The AI then generates a structured report that interprets the synchronicity between your personal cosmological signature and the stock's characteristics, grounded in both ancient wisdom and modern financial metrics.

7. Important Limitations

Vestara's methodology is based on an ancient philosophical system with deep cultural significance. However:

• The Zhou Yi framework is not a scientific prediction model. It is a cosmological pattern-recognition system.
• Compatibility scores do not predict price movements, returns, or market outcomes.
• AI-generated narratives are interpretive, not prescriptive. They may contain errors or oversimplifications.
